Youthrunner Magazine Website

Client: Youthrunner Magazine | My Role: Full revamp of website

Problem:

Youth Runner Magazine is the leading source of inspiration for young athletes that compete in track & field, cross country, triathlons, and kids that just like to run. The magazine was in need of a complete revamp of its old website and overall brand collateral. When the dot.com era began, Youthrunner jumped onboard and had a slick site in the 90's. Over time, the interactive navigation was getting distracted with clutter and needed a upgrade.

Solution:

Break down each category and simplify the sitemap for a more straight forward approach. Showcase the most important information at first glance on the homepage and have a easy system that the user can go from place to place and not get lost.

*Hickups included working with existing CMS system to work correctly with the new updated site. This needed lots of work and upgrades in the admin for it to successfully correspond with new post. This upgrade includes being able to post articles to multiple external channel sites as well as any page on the website.

My main role was designing every piece of graphic on the site and art directing all of the programmers to successfully fulfill the vision and get the site live. A year later, the site relaunched its new brand and has been going strong. The site has steady fixes to keep up to date with current programing.
